Price Range: $7 - $12 per person (see below) The Atlanta Bontaical Garden is a colorful and magical place to visit for people of all ages. The most popular attraction is the pieces of glass sculpture. The garden offers an array of trees, flowers, and plants to view. Tours are available every Tuesday, free with your paid admission ticket. The children’ garden offers learning opportunities for all children. Adult tickets are $12.00, seniors $9.00, and students $7.00. Children under 3 are free. The gardens are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm, closing at 5pm from November until March.

Price Range: $10 per person Tours The Fox Theatre in Atlanta Georgia is listed as a National Historic Site. It was built in the 1920’s. Volunteers worked to restore it to a beautiful work of art. It is well known for classic theatre pieces, including Phantom of the Opera and the Nutcracker. The theatre is also used to host grand parties, wedding receptions, and corporate cocktail parties. The Mighty Mo organ resides here. It was custom maid for the theatre in 1942. In 1974, it was valued at over $400,000. Tours are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10 am. The cost is $10.

While it has always been a popular attraction, it became even more popular in 2006 with the new rollercoaster, Goliath. This is a roller coaster 200 feet in the air racing at neckbreaking speeds. Six flags over Georgia is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Tickets are $39.99 for the day or you can get a season pass for $69.99. You can get two season passes for the cost $99.00.

Price Range: $17.99 Adults, $12.99 children The Atlanta zoo opened in 1889, the result of a traveling show heading to Marietta Georgia who happened to break down passing through Atlanta. Two weeks later, the entire stock of animals was sold to the city of Atlanta. Research and conservation are two areas well promoted by the zoo. They encourage schools and childcare centers to come to the zoo for educational programs. Special events include sleep overs at the zoo with nighttime tours. The zoo is open daily except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Adult tickets are $17.99 and children are $12.99. Various ticket discounts are available.
