The Cobb Galleria Centre is an impressive venue with state-of-the-art technology including a fiber optic network infrastructure with a T-1 speed internet connection. Video conferencing, LAN Internet access and Wi-Fi access is available upon request. The venue is situated within walking distance of many restaurants varying from fast food to fine cuisine and it is a great location for shopping and entertainment. The Cumberland Mall is a very large shopping mall that opened on the 8th of August 1973 and was the largest of its kind at the time. It is currently undergoing an $80 million renovation adding another 77,000 square feet. As well as the impressive Cumberland Mall there are also a few other neighbouring attractions including the Lost Mountain Park and Silver Comet Trail. The totally unique Lost Mountain Park is situated north of Atlanta city. The name 'Lost Mountain' refers to the how the mountain in the park seems to disappear as you get closer. The park consists of two lakes and thick forest. Hiking trails and picnic facilities are available and pets are always welcome as long as they remain on their leads. Lost Mountain Park is a great fishing spot. The Silver Comet Trail is a paved recreational trail that is about 57 miles in length that weaves and winds through the north Georgia countryside. The trail begins in Georgia at the South Cobb Drive and East-West Connector intersection and goes all the way up to the border of Alabama. Expect tall pine trees, gushing rivers and plenty of beautiful scenery.
